United States History
This course is focused on the study of the history of the United States of America. While there will be brief review of the significant topics and events from the founding through the Civil War, the main scope of the course is post Civil War history. We will examine the following topics; Industrialization, Emergence as a world power, the prosperity of the 20's, the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War, the Civil Rights movement, the political and social crises of the late 20th century, and the movement into the 21st century. The pages linked below are designed as tools for moving away from a textbook reliant classroom to an integrated classroom utilizing the tools and resources available to compliment the traditional modes of teaching/learning.
